About the Authors
Stuart Palmer has more than 25 years experience teaching maths in a variety of schools. He has been a head of department in two schools and is now an educational consultant who conducts professional development workshops for teachers across NSW and beyond. Stuart is also a Project Officer with the Mathematical Association of NSW and in this role he assists teachers to implement new syllabuses in ways that students find meaningful and engaging.
 
Karen McDaid is a lecturer in Mathematics Education in the School of Education at the University of Western Sydney. She has taught mathematics to both primary and high school students and is currently teaching undergraduate students on their way to becoming primary school teachers.
 

About the Presentation
During the workshop the presenters will unpack the features of the forthcoming CambridgeMATHS Gold, a fully integrated collection of teaching and learning resources designed to cater for students in Years 7 to 10 who require additional support with numeracy and mathematical literacy as they transition from Stage 3 to Stage 5 learning.

The presenters will also demonstrate the connections between the books and associated resources. Workshop attendees will have the opportunity to participate in some of the engaging practical activities that have been created to enhance your students' conceptual understanding and productive disposition.
